Chicago!

I had the best mini-vacation! I met all of Lindsay's wonderful friends & super boyfriend Dan. Enjoyed staying right on the lake with a gorgeous view. My dear friends Mike who I studied abroad with & his wife & my good friend Erin & new baby Ava came down too! We walked around downtown, enjoyed delicious food & company & browsed an art festival!

Panel Skirt

I have been taking a beginner's sewing class 1x a week & after 4 weeks I have completed my first project!

It is the CUTE SKIRT! by Favorite Things Pattern
it is an 8 panel skirt & for my novice hands it was pretty easy to put together...with the assistance of the wonderful instructor. Here is the finished product! I can't wait to make more!

My next project is the a purse by Vogue
things weren't too pretty @ first, but now I think I understand what I need to do! I am making it with Robert Kaufman's Stratosphere & a bright swirly pink inside! Pictures coming soon....
